Made-to-measure Drapes & Curtains

Handmade,
in our own production

Sustainable production

We are a new player in the custom home textile business, but we still have 20+ years of experience creating custom tailored garments. Veolin is a fully owned subsidiary of Tailor Store, one of the worlds leading suppliers of made-to-measure men's clothing. Our many years of experience guarantees that we only deliver the finest quality textiles you can imagine.

As we own our own factories, we have full transparency in our operations. Together with our production team experts, we can constantly develop and improve processes and create new products.

Minimizing waste

We aim to minimize material waste in our production process as much as possible. This involves investing in new equipment to minimize fabric waste and also making use of the inevitable fabric scraps.

Through a local project in Sri Lanka, our fabric scraps are sold at a very low cost to families in the surrounding area. These fabric scraps are then turned into new products by the families themselves, which they produce and sell. This initiative is not about any financial gain for us but is just one of several ways for us to contribute to a sustainable society and make use of fabric scraps that would otherwise go to waste.

Dissanayake - Our cutting specialist

Dissanayake has been working with us for 16 years. He and his family lives close to Alawwa where our production facilities are located. Every morning you can see him coming to work on his motorbike.

His career with us started as a sewing machine operator back in 2008. Since then he has been promoted to team leader and is an expert on every kind of product that passes through the factory. He is keen on sharing his experience with his co-workers and likes to help them learn new techniques.

"I really enjoy working here, it gives my life balance, and we are not stressed and pushed like in other factories that I've worked in", Dissanayake says. "I have been well paid over the years and that has given me the opportunity to build my own house and take care of my family", he continues.

Dissanayake's daughter also works in the factory as a nurse. He feels that the freedom that his employment gives him is incredibly valuable.

Kumari - our Sewing specialist

Kumari, our sewing specialist, has made a remarkable journey with us over the past 15 years. Living nearby, she cherishes her daily commute using factory transport.

Mastering the challenging tasks and collaborating closely with production leaders on new developments, Kumari shows her flexibility as she seamlessly transitions between different production areas to enhance workflow.

With an unwavering positivity and a love for tackling new challenges, she finds fulfillment in her work, particularly appreciating the freedom and flexibility it offers, in stark contrast to her previous experiences. The technological advancements in production also hold a special place in Kumari's heart, as they significantly ease her everyday tasks. With her sights set on the future, Kumari hopes to continue contributing her skills and passion until her well-deserved retirement.
